Elections Soon
Although all of us here at Game Club would like to continue to hold the reins of the organization for ever and ever, that sadly cannot be. Most of us are about to graduate, and so we must welcome in a brave new generation of New School gamers to carry on the legacy and to inherit the Die of Destiny. Being involved in Game Club has been a fantastic opportunity to become involved in the NY gaming community, and I highly recommend any students interested in gaming, organization, or production strongly consider coming to the next few meetings and getting involved.
Play For Nonprofit Panel Video Goes Live
One of the exciting things you (yes you!) can do as a member of the New School Game Club Board is organize talks with some of the leading members of the games community, which is exactly what happened at the Play For Nonprofit Panel held a few months ago in collaboration with AID. For those of you that could not be there in person, we are pleased to announce that the talk is now available on the club’s Vimeo stream: http://www.newschoolgames.org/?p=335

GAME CLUB EVENTS
—————–
Tomorrow: Retro Console Gaming
Fri 2/3 @ 7PM
6 E16th, 12th Floor Lab
To kick off our first official meeting of the semester, Parsons faculty and all around games aficionado Kyle Li will be bringing in selections from his own impressive collection of retro consoles including Atari, Vectrex & many more. Get back to your roots or discover new ones as we show case the home consoles that started it all.
Next Week: German Vs. American Boardgames & Open Meeting
Fri 2/10 @ 7PM
6 E16th, 12th Floor Lab
Two countries, two different board game aesthetics, but which is better? Maybe we don’t have to chose. Join us as we play some of the best boardgames from both countries next Friday, including Settler of Cattan, Dominion, Puerto Rico, Small World, and many more. And as always, feel free to bring your own .
